Stock Market Closing Today On Feb 19: the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex declined 28.21 points or 0.04 per cent to close at 75939.18. The NSE Nifty went down by 12.40 points or 0.05 per cent to close at 22932.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a flat start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 22,960 level, a discount of nearly 12 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

The S&P BSE Sensex shed 291.20 points to 75,676.19, while the NSE Nifty50 lost 88.65 points to 22,856.65 as of 9:25 AM.

The Q3FY25 results for mid and small cap companies saw more downgrades compared to large caps against the previous quarter, as majority of the companies were facing either top line and margin pressures.

Indian markets experienced volatility on February 19, with the Sensex and Nifty recovering from early losses to close flat. Financial stocks drove the recovery, while pharma and IT sectors faced declines.

The BSE Sensex closed at 75,967.39, down 29.47 points or 0.04 per cent from its previous close on Tuesday. NTPC, Zomato, Power Grid and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers.

The BSE Sensex was trading at 75,613.32, down 383.54 points or 0.50 per cent. Nifty stood at 22,815.85, down 143.65 points or 0.63 per cent. Small and midcap (SMID) indices fell 1-2 per cent.

Indian markets closed flat on February 18, recovering from early losses. The Nifty 50 fell 0.08% to 22,938 points, while the Sensex gained 0.04% to 76,023 points, indicating a ’buy on the dips’ strategy among investors.
