Feb 9, 2019 · Alright, but I think you're making an exaggeration. Font's strength of competition has been pretty damn insane. The guys to beat him via grappling recently was Figgy, and sandhagen (who font accepted on short notice). That's two top 5 guys.

A very fatigued/zombifiedAldo catches him with another straight putting him on queer street with an arm punch on a clinch break. Aldo almost finishes him but Font makes the bell.

I think Font has enough experience against this specific kind of matchup to mostly do fine. Even Aldo struggled a lot through the early part of the fight to find counters on Font's jab, both Yanez and Garbrandt tried at different times to push the cross counter and mostly just got owned for it (and that's a lot of Song's upside in this kind of fight).
