The Rec Center boasts 200,000 square feet of recreation space, including weights, fitness equipment, a 58-foot climbing wall, two swimming pools and 6 gym courts. The Student Recreation Center serves the entire UConn community. All students have access to the facility; faculty, staff, community members and affiliates can register to become members.

The Student Recreation Center features 15 tons of free weights, 200 pieces of cardio equipment, and 175 strength stations. Additionally, the 191,000-square-foot facility includes an outdoor adventure center, an eight-lane, 25-yard competitive swimming pool, a four-court gymnasium, and two additional multipurpose courts.

Sep 1, 2020 · With the cautious reopening of the University of Connecticut well underway, the UConn Student Recreation Center (SRC) was able to open again Monday. This year brings some changes to how the SRC functions, but still provides much of the same experience students can expect from previous years.
