They will be a tighter fit in older P228 or P229 9mm Frames as they have the same upper profile of the P228/P229 9mm Magazine, while they will be looser in P229-1 9mm and P229 .357/.40 Frames due to the dual taper upper profile of those Magazines.

Jan 28, 2025 · I bought a used P229 recently and am trying to figure out its age/gen/Date of manufacture. I heard it can be looked up by its SN but can't find where that lookup is. Does anyone know where I can find to look it up. For example my SN begins with AJU03 if that helps Thanks in advance!

Feb 12, 2020 · Pick up a Legion 229 and a 365XL with a nice bonus check. Both are great guns but Holy Cow the trigger on the Legion is fantastic! I’m an average shooter but the trigger on the 229 got the game up a few notches. The 365XL is nice addition too - shoots well and would carry nicely if I lived in a free state.
