Feb 23, 2005 · Hit the junk yard and strip a turbo car (cylinder head, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, turbo, down pipe, J-pipe, oil pan, and oil feed line). All can be had for about 200.00. Then get a FMU and a gasket set (another 300.00). Or drop in a complete L28 turbo engine and ecu. About the same cost for the non-turbo conversion but requires ecu wiring.

I gathered from one post on this forum that the 280Z Turbo injectors have a flow rate of 280cc/min, which would be perfect for my application.

Aug 27, 2002 · It is hard to put a 3000 dollar turbo kit in a 2000 dollar car. But all turbo kits cost money and datsun's just don't cost that much. Sure you can go to the junk yard and get a used turbo engine for a couple hundred. But the motor is used and the turbo is used and in the long run you will spend 3000 rebuilding everything.
