May 28, 2020 · Hi guys thanks for the add. I'm trying to help a 75 yr old friend of mine to sell his 36 Buick three window coupe. Straight-8, 3spd manual, floor shifted. A very cool car that was restored 20 years ago and never driven. It's a very rare dual side-mount car. It's been in a garage ever since, comes with a ton of rare parts and manuals.

Jun 19, 2021 · To illustrate BLOO's excellent description. This is a 1935 coupe frame and has slightly more wood than the 1936 Buick. The 36 Buick should have a pressed steel floor in the trunk and the trunk lid is also steel ( no wooden frame ). Modern glues and T nuts can repair many loose joints but the big thing to watch for is WOOD ROT!!

Mar 15, 2025 · I have a 36 Buick coupe.On the vin tag it is shown as aSR.It also shown as 4457.The car has a rumble seat and side mounts. The roof is all steel,no fabric insert.The floors are wood,no big deal.The doors are wood framed as some of the posts.Mine have no issues.Behind the seat is a storage shelf and luggage area.

Feb 25, 2024 · The '36 - '38 coupes are all handsome IMHO. The only concern with the '36 is the wooden body structure, as mentioned above. If it's solid, you'll have a nice looking driver with a little TLC.

Mar 17, 2024 · I don't think I have been so enamored and desiring of a car this much since I found and purchased my '54 3 speed Century. 36's have truly become my favorite prewar Buick,especially the Special and Century Coupes. Such a rare car and the fact it was so original!!!! No radio but the optional cigar lighter and extra front bumper guard.

Jan 5, 2011 · I am slowly restoring a 36 Buick series 40 sloper, body number 92, my body trim tag says Black B11 F6. This car had dark blue leather upolestery and was 6 wheel equiped. One of my front springs was still painted white which says chassis model 46C, S, or 48 with fender wells. 61, 66C, S, and 68 the springs were yellow for fender wells.
