I also have data on a 47mm L/40 Italian tank gun round, which was very much bigger - the case measured 328mm long and fired a 1.5 kg projectile at 820 m/s (compared with 630 m/s for the 47mm L/32).

Mar 23, 2017 · Here is my new favorite round in the collection. It is an Italian 47/32 mm Effetto Pronto/HEAT/Hollow Charge. Mr. Fuze auctioned it off on GunBroker in the US. It was not inexpensive due to stiff bidding.

Sep 24, 2024 · The dimensions of shells etc. as follows- The 47mm copper shell is 170mm including fuze and case rim 55.35mm. The nose vented fuze is graduated to 22sec. No I.D. number. The 37mm coper coated shell is 138mm long and the rim diameter 47.14mm.
