The British Rail Class 415 (or 4EPB) was a suburban 750 V DC third rail electric multiple unit commissioned by the Southern Region of British Railways. Built between 1951 and 1957, it became the most numerous class on the region after the withdrawal of the 4SUBs .

BR Standard 4EPB electric unit 5335 arrives at Waterloo (East) with a Hayes to London Charing Cross via Lewisham service on 7 January 1985. This unit had entered service in 1960 and was withdrawn in May 1985.

Different types of unit were given numbers: This series was perpetuated by the Southern Region with modifications, as older set numbers were reused for the following different types: 2PEP reused number 2001, 4REP from 3001 and 4PEP 4001/4002.
