The M645J was manufactured from 1979 to 1982. This was a stripped-down version of the M645, with the mirror lockup knob and second shutter button removed. The standard lens was the 80mm f/2.8 C or the 80mm f/1.9 C. [2] The Mamiya 645 Super was manufactured from 1985 to 1993.

Oct 31, 2005 · The M645J is the most basic, which just means that it does not have mirror lock up. The M645 has mirror lock up and shares a top shutter speed of 1/500th with the J. The 1000s model has mirror up and 1/1000th top shutter speed. They are all three almost identical and can all use any of the non-AF 645 lenses.

Nov 18, 2019 · There are many different Mamiya 645 versions. The original 645 can be bought for less than $200 with a finder. The price goes up when you get autofocus, removable backs, better meters, and so on. It has a lot to do with how old the model is. Keep looking. I have the 1975 model, plain 645, and it works fine.
