Oct 20, 2016 · Played up to 5NL, unsure how the higher stakes' population is. I played 5NL on 888. Easily beatable. I would even say 5NL 888 > 2NL PS. The amount of fish on 888 is easily offset by the increased rake. Btw, there is rakeback on 888. Its some weird goldcoin stuff, its very low, but there is something there.

Feb 6, 2021 · The rake on 888 poker for the micro stakes is insane. Over 9046 hands on 'snap fold' I paid roughly $23 in rake or 12.7bb/100. Whereas on GG poker rush and cash I paid roughly $9 in rake over 8939 hands or 5.03bb/100 +like $0.37 in rake back lol. I have a similar vpip on both sites, if anything I play more aggressively on GG.

Nov 27, 2020 · 888 poker is capped at 5% rake at micros and at 2NL it’s easy to get around 10-12bb ABC solid. 5NL I did around 6bb. I’m also a hobbyist with about 200k hands or so. It sucks that there’s no rakeback but u can still build a roll no problem.

Nov 17, 2019 · You pay rake on each hand you win. So if you just go all in and double up the first hand and end your session, you most likely paid <=5% of your profit in rake. If you play a 5 hour session and end up 5bb, that probably means that your winnings without rake would have been 100bb+, so you paid >95% of your "rakeless" profit.

Mar 17, 2018 · I recently started playing on 888 again and the schedule is pretty much the same like 2 years ago. Also there not many turbos at all (at least at midstakes). Dunno about the promos since I don't use those. Rakeback was always shit on 888 unless you hit a yearly status (not sure if thats still a thing) which was pretty much impossible with MTT.

Sep 25, 2023 · 888 games can be really soft at times, and non existent at other times. Stars has games running 24/7 for all micro stakes up to 1/2 with a slightly lower rake. Both sites have very little in the way of rake back.. stars has a lot more options for tournaments and sit n gos, 888 sit n gos are dead. Stars still has the best software as well.

Dec 7, 2020 · While this is true, GG rakes preflop. Which is a cardinal sin. But yes, 888 rake is quite bad (hell, they all are) over the last 20k hands on 888, I've paid ~13bb/100 in rake at 20nl/30nl Edit: Happy cake day!!

It was created by a former professional poker player and apparently it's decent. They have a pretty generous rake back program as well.
