Mar 9, 2016 · It is a very nice looking Spanish Mauser. If the bore is in similar condition to the exterior, it should be a great shooter. It probably is in 8mm, they would have had to rebarrel it for something else but still advisable to take care.

Dec 3, 2024 · For most 8x57 shooting, the Speer 200 grain bullet with 44 grains of IMR 4064 is a relatively mild load. But the CFE 223 load with the 150 grain bullet operates at about 47000 CUP which is perfectly safe in any 98 Mauser.
