Oct 27, 2009 · i love akg's old 240 models- the sextett, 240m, and 240df. i like-and still own-the 240m best, its a middle ground between the sextett bassisness and df's hyper analytical-ness. these all run best with a ton of power!

Dec 19, 2002 · I have both the 240DF and 240S. While they have some similarities, the are indeed quite different. The 240s is a smart move by AKG. Most people have low-power headphone jacks, and the 240s will definetly sound good from these, and easy to drive. Yup, AKG discovers bass with the 240s.
