Ares Acolytes for defense by far. They're one of the two troops you can deploy when both Aphrodite and Hades are both on the field. And, they are very powerful and healthy, and usually one Spreadshot shot will kill VWs, and the rest die if not targeted.

Regularly spawns fearsome Acolytes of Ares that defend the city from attack. You do not need to unlock Ares before rebuilding this monument. Monuments are immune to Aphrodite's Charm Building ability.

Ares is an incredibly strong god that can overpower defensive houses and obliterate any temple. He is a melee god that requires to be within range of his objective but this can be easily circumvented by a well placed Battle Charge.
