I got an Aiwa system a a gift at 14 or 15 (1992-ish?), and had it until recently. I actually used it up until about 2010, though it mostly served as a speaker system for my computer. Finally replaced that with the Onkyo Receiver and Dayton speakers that had been serving as the home theater setup in the living room when those got upgraded.

I sold electronics for a summer in the 90’s and I remember telling people how if they really wanted the best bang for their buck, get the Aiwa. I’m glad to see other commenters saying theirs are still plugging along… makes me feel like I steered at least a few people right, haha.
