I've tried everything from scrubbing with SOS pads to baking soda to degreaser to OXY clean. I've gotten the majority (not all) of the algae off but there's still a green tinge to them (when dry) that I haven't been able to get off AND when I wet the antlers it looks REALLY green. I'm thinking the roots of the algae are IN the bone.

Then I wipe them with a rag dipped in lacquer thinner. This will remove all the debris, dirt and oil, which is necessary. I've never had one with green stuff on them though.
