The Nahel bond is a bond between a spren and a being from the Physical Realm. It's a symbiotic relationship, granting the spren the ability to manifest into the Physical Realm without losing their mind.

Additionally, each type of Nahel spren (with the possible exception of the Bondsmith spren) are associated with a type of subspren. These spren are sometimes said to be "cousins" of the corresponding Nahel spren and form a Radiant's Shardplate when they reach a sufficient Ideal.
