Apr 3, 2024 · The first and one of the most iconic 001 proposals hasn't really stood the test of time too well, but it's still an interesting concept. It's a sheaf of papers that, when the page is flipped, creates documentation for an anomaly that suddenly starts existing somewhere.

Maybe they all exist simultaneously as their own SCP, so all of them are true, real SCPs. But the main 001 one is the one that started the Foundation. Or maybe they all had a part in the Foundation's origins and history in some way or another. Maybe one SCP 001 proposal is true in one SCP universe, and another in an alternate one.

Therefore if it was kept outside it would create multiple anomalous messed up versions of the universe. This story states that because of this, 184 created and creates all of the foundation's anomalies which is what scp 001 is said to do. So that means scp 184 is actually the true scp 001.

May 4, 2019 · Update: So, somebody recently posted on r/SCPDeclassified a declassification of SCP-001, "The Sky Above the Port" (aka notaseagull's Proposal) So, I never understood the dream message, until now. I think, by reading books to it, we keep it entertained, but somebody is trying to wake SCP-001-2 up. SCP-001-2 is just dreaming us up.

Despite the numbers meaning very little in terms of chronology or tiering of the SCP, SCP-001 is numerically the first - so technically it would be the very first anomalous entity discovered and it would have to be something outrageously worldshaking to cause the Foundation to exist.
