The style of Tokelauan traditional music and dance we know today is unique, although there are clear influences from throughout the Pacific. Examples and videos of Tokelau's music and dance is on display.

The music of Tokelau occurs in the atolls of Atafu, Nukunonu, and Fakaofo. It is dominated by communal choral activity in harmony, with percussive accompaniment including log drums (pate), pokihi (wooden box) and apa (biscuit tin). Nukunonu is notable for traditional song and dance. [1]

Modern Samoan siva is often played in Tokelau. During the field visit to Atafu, an exhibition of ancient dances was given, accompanied by the singing of the performers. The dancers stood side by side in a single line throughout the dance.
