The newest chipset drivers I could find for the nVidia chipset in the laptop were for Win 7. I extracted them, and manually installed them from Device manager.

Doesnt seem to be any slower and has been working ok . It is still running a 15 year old Canon Scanner and a 15 year old HaupaugeTV card flawlessly .

I don’t think Mobile Athlon 64s were available until a year later. It has an nVidia nforce3 Go150 chipset. This is probably not as well supported in later versions of Windows like other chipsets are.
