Spongy is one of the three contestants in BFDI who rejoined the game, only to get re-eliminated, the other two being Flower and Blocky. Additionally, he is the only one to have not been up for elimination immediately after rejoining.

In "Take the Tower", Blocky jumps on Spongy as a trampoline to reach Bubble. In "SOS (Save Our Show)", Spongy greets Blocky after noticing Taco in the bush.
