Mar 22, 2023 · As an E24 owner be very weary of the E12 based E24. Motors are bullet proof but you may find yourself struggling to find parts. If I could start my project over I’d start with a E28 based E24 as there is plenty of aftermarket support compared to the early models.

Jan 22, 2014 · the 535is has about 185hp while the 318 has about 140. However, the 535 is heavier. Although it's less powerful engine, the e30 has a lightweight chassis that's a ton of fun to throw around in the twisties (somewhat reminescent of your miata) and easy to improve handling with a bit of money thrown in. 318's also get great mpg.
