Dec 26, 2006 · The e34 is more sporting but the e32 has it's merits as a cruiser. I prefer the e34 in the twisties for its lighter weight and quicker turn-in but a nicely sorted e32 can keep up with the best. Pick the one with the lowest miles and best condition.

Apr 23, 2013 · Both the E34 and E39 seem to have fairly similar problems with the autotragics and all BMW's have fickle cooling systems. I had always felt that the E34>E39 for exterior styling but the E39>E34 for the interior.

Sep 9, 2007 · I sold my E30 to buy the E34 and haven't looked back. Also, decent-condition E30s seem to be in the 4k-5k range, which would buy you a much newer E34 with probably far fewer miles. And yes, E34s are generally speaking more fun than E39s IMO.
