I am not sure if you are aware of it, but Hebert BMW in Baton Rouge has become BMW Motorcycles of Baton Rouge and is on US-61 (Airline Hwy) about a mile north of the US 190 /Siegen Lane / South Sherwood intersection on the east side (northbound lanes). They have a good selection of all BMW models and you can test ride a lot of them.

Jan 22, 2010 · R1200R vs R1200RT Well, I did it today! Traded in the RT for a 2009 Artic White R1200R. I did about a 5 mile demo ride on the R and all I can say is WOW! I know it is not, but the R bike feels to me like it is 200 lbs. less than the RT.

Jan 2, 2011 · According to specs published by BMW of Santa Cruz: R1150RT - seat height 31.7" weight 592# (dry), 641# (wet) R1200RT - seat height 32.2" weight 505# (dry), 571# (wet) I assume the seat height is the lowest setting on the standard seat.

Dec 6, 2017 · +1 for the R1200RT. My favorite modern road bike. I have a serious-rider friend who owned an R1200RS until last week. He said the R1200R is a better handling bike. There are a lot of riders around Tucson on both the RS and the R. The RS rider I just mentioned traded it in last week on a left-over 2017 R1200GS.
