If you are a fibre customer, it’s likely you’ll have an Openreach modem (or ONT) installed. This white box connects to a fibre-optic cable that runs to your house and enables you to access our FTTP fibre network for broadband and voice.

If you've got Fibre to the Home or Fibre Home Phone you'll get a modem, a battery back-up unit and a BT Hub (if you don't have one already). This is used to provide your voice and broadband service. It's also known as an Optical Network Termination box or ONT.

The Casing in that link, Openreach stopped using that when they stopped using the 1+1 ONT after completely ceasing the FVA Service in favour of VoIP, which is purely the responsibility of the CP.
