Feb 2, 2009 · Is there any mod that updates the Civilization 4 interface to support high DPI/resolution monitors or change the in-game font? I've always disliked the spider-thin serif font that the game uses by default but it continues to get worse visually as the standard monitor resolution has increased significantly within the past decade.

Apr 1, 2001 · When I examined the target font in the Civilization 4\Resource\Fonts folder, I found there was no bold italic variant: just a single regular font, sylfaen.ttf. So I deleted the link in the Windows\Fonts folder, and copied sylfaen.ttf there. Then ta-da! when I started Civ 4 BtS, the font was back to its normal, regular self!

Mar 14, 2009 · I believe you could make a folder path like /Resource/Themes/Civ4 in the mod, and then add a copy of Civ4Theme_Common.thm in there, edit that copy, and BTS should use that one over the actual non-edited one, but I haven't tested that. I have uploaded my copy of Civ4Theme_Common.thm with increased font sizes.
