Bardoli (Gujarati: બારડોલી; Hindi: बारडोली) is a town and a municipality in the Surat Metropolitan Region. Situated in Southern Gujarat on the banks of the Mindhola River in Western India, it is located approximately 35 km east of Surat proper.

The Bardoli Satyagraha, was a farmers' agitation and nationalist movement in India against the increased taxation of farmers by the colonial government. It demanded a cancellation of the 22% tax hike being levied in Bombay Presidency. The movement began on 12 February 1928, and successfully ended by August.
