The Beato Book is useless as far as learning anything. Rick is so full of crap, it's leaking from his ears. He always says it's the place to learn music theory. LO FREAKING L. That couldn't be further from the truth. I have the Beato Book. I paid exactly $0 for it and its worth every penny and not a cent more as far as learning music theory goes.

Sep 22, 2017 · The Beato “Book” (more on that in a minute) in my opinion, is only able to really help a narrow slice of players and learners. Players who are already fairly well steeped in theory (REAL theory) and learners who don’t need much context. First - it’s not really a Book. It’s more like a self-directed manual.

It’s NOT a teaching book, more of a rather extensive reference book. It doesn’t have any secrets in it but it does have a lot of information, some of it quite esoteric. It’s nice to have a lot of theory in one place and organized well but there’s nothing in it that you can’t find elsewhere.

Nov 18, 2018 · Youtuber Rick Beato has as book on theory for $50. Do any of you have it? I have a pretty rudimentary understanding of theory and I'd like to learn as much as I can. I know there are a lot of free sources online but it gets confusing bouncing around from source to source. If this book has everything I'd need in one place, that'd be perfect.
