At SAAMI length, the 7mm PRC will fit inside the 3.4” magazine boxes of last century’s design in SAAMI form. May 18, 2024 · With the size and breadth of Hornady's research and production, why don't they produce match grade bullets that are capable of competing with Berger bullets? Like benchrest, F Class, world record class bullets. Seems Hornady's engineers and ballisticians etc enjoy talking the talk, but they can't walk the walk. Let's not even mention brass quality.

Nov 25, 2021 · Berger currently holds the world record group in 1K IBS. Berger has set many agg records over the years as well which is even more impressive. That all holds a lot of weight in my mind and I have come to the same conclusion over the last 15 years testing Berger bullets against many other mainstream brands.

Dec 31, 2019 · I did a quick comparison of these three Berger bullets for my 300 rum to help determine which should be my primary long range bullet. I currently shoot the 230s but wanted to see how they compare. I assumed 100 FPS loss for the 245 and 100 FPS gain for the 215s. The wind was set to 10 mph at 200 yards with 90 degrees (full effect).

There are generally two camps with respect to "proper" bullet construction, expanding and penetrating. Bergers are known for their expansion, others are known for penetration. I purchased my 7 PRC to run "heavy" monolithics.

Apr 14, 2016 · I shot the 190-grain 7mm Berger Long Range Hybrid Target bullets with meplat drilled to 0.0465" (as I describe in an earlier post) from my 280 AI (1:9 twist, 27" barrel, 3,000 fps muzzle velocity) at a Clear Ballistics 6"x6"x16" gel block from a distance of 100 yards. Result: The vertical black mark is at 1.5", and is where expansion started.
