Let's Talk A Little About Wyald : r/Berserk - Reddit
Jun 12, 2019 · In Wyald's chapters, just like you, I've seen his behaviour as inhuman, but I also thought it was a little odd. Examples include killing his own men when he doesn't agree with them, his own careless and joking behaviour while in a fight, naming his attacks, the way he fights clumsily, and even his rather goofy apostle form.
I just want to make sure I’m not crazy…we can all agree Wyald is …
Aug 12, 2021 · Wyald arc is great imo, so much narrative happened in that arc, the scene where Wyald rips Griffith out and shows him to the band was great, the fights between him and guts some of the best in the series, the way Guts thought Wyald was the calamity Zodd and Skull Knight referred to, and the false confidence he felt when he thought he beat Wyald.
Wyald is one of the best written apostles in Berserk and I don
Nov 28, 2021 · Wyald in Berserk is kind of like the character of Count Glossu "Beast" Rabban-Harkonnen in Dune. Some people consider Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen to be the big bad of Dune just under Baron Vladimir Harkonnen himself, leaving the Padishah Emperor out of it, and some of those same people will often claim that Rabban is less necessary to the story than ...

Sep 6, 2021 · Adding Wyald before it, makes the eclipse a bit less shocking to me. Also, Wyald assaulting (or at least trying to) Casca made me annoyed since having her assaulted and shocking the reader like that makes another rape scene in the eclipse feel repetitive. Wyald however did serve the purpose of giving Guts the ability of fighting apostles.

Much more effective than outright just showing the carnage. Devilman did it, so can Berserk. Wyald can work in anime form, you just got to be a little creative with what you can and cannot show on screen. The casca scene and the elongated dick scene can be removed entirely though. There was no need for that.

Jun 5, 2023 · Wyald's "raw masculinity" takes on a beast-like shape, in strong contrast to Guts' "honed masculinity" which makes him quite attractive, whether sexually or otherwise. Wyald is an example of everything you can do with "Masculinity" done wrong , and contrasts with the ways in which Guts is an example of Masculinity used in a healthy manner.

Oct 23, 2021 · Berserk is my favorite piece of fiction, but sorry. Wyald IS absolutely edgelord nonsense. Wyald is a pointless entry and the only thing he adds plot-wise to the story is revealing Griffith’s state to the band of the Hawk. Which isn’t needed because they were going to have to have that conversation with them anyway.
What do you guys think about Wyald and the Black dogs arc?
Wyald always has, and always will be a stark perspective contrast to Guts and Griffith, both of whom long to either fulfill a dream, or find a purpose to sustain their existence on, and to give their lives meaning. Wyald is the complete, fundamental opposite of Guts and Griffith as it pertains to the notion of greater purpose, greater meaning.

Jul 19, 2020 · i found wyald to be the perfect embodyment of a barbaric mercenary, and as everyone agrees the ladder for guts, wyalds dialogue is perfect because it heats up to the moment of the sacrifice, pillage rape burn and just the right ammount of IQ to bring a message to the the band of the hawk
Just finished Volume 11, and I have a question about Wyald
Jul 22, 2019 · -Wyald breaks Gut’s greatsword, which explains why he doesn’t have it for the Eclipse. Both the TV show and the movies gloss over the fact that he doesn’t have it during the CLIMAX of a show/movie about a big guy wielding a big sword, and our only option is to assume Guts left it behind in his hurry to pursue Griffith in the runaway carriage.
