Jan 5, 2023 · Finally the CAT has the 3.3l and Bobcat has a 2.2l both pushing 74HP. The CAT dealer says the 259D3 will burn ~1.5gallon less per hour than the T66. It is also rated at 8.5mph in 2spd vs 10.2mph in the Bobcat which is a win for Bobcat in my opinion. Any feedback on these items or anything else would be greatly appreciated.

Oct 9, 2017 · I'm been searching for a machine to do some work on our golf course and this unit came up. Seems like a great smaller CTL with enough capacity to lift pallet yet move dirt. I'd really like a 259D but this unit came available and looking for some insight from owners. Searched the forums and don't see much for reviews.

Dec 13, 2013 · Its a new 2014 Caterpillar 259D CTL. it has the heater/ac & radio and a few other buttons Im still figuring out lol. 75 hp Kubota engine. I havent used it to much yet but it seems to have a good amount of power. After going from my 2004 Cat 242B this thing is like a dream.

Aug 18, 2014 · I am considering the Cat 259D vs the Bobcat T590 and the Cat289D vs the Bobcat T650. Machine will be purchased with a breaker, industrial grapple, and a 6 way dozer blade. I can see pro's and cons to both companies. Cat is well respected for engineering machines and has a great support fleet to fix machines on site.
