Jun 6, 2012 · I have a Corian countertop that has seen many years of wear and tear. I'd like to sand and polish it however the instructions that came with the countertop recommend Hope's Countertop Polish as the final step. My challenge is that it appears that the Hope's products are not available for sale in Canada.

Aug 2, 2011 · Acetone-based nail polish remover and an old dinner knife worked very well. Pour acetone onto hardened superglue and begin scraping with the knife. I had spilled quite a bit of glue onto my Corian countertop so I had to repeat about 4 times. I wiped away the scrapings between each repetition.

The title says it all. We have a Corian countertop.One of the selling points of this type of counter is that it is supposedly easy to fix minor flaws in it, but there seems to be little information on the net about how to go about it.

Apr 6, 2021 · I had a quartz countertop installed, however they did a poor job where it was cut. They used max 200 grit sandpaper with an angle grinder. Also they applied a sealer and now it has some kind of stains. I have an orbital sander tool and angle grinder. Can I use these like they do in order to fix it? Probably with higher grit gradually.

May 15, 2015 · That appears to be Corian (or something similar). You can find cleaning and repair guides on the DuPont website. These counter tops are not horribly heat resistant (as you found out), and can discolor or even melt it enough heat is applied.

Jun 13, 2023 · Cutting was with a 7-1/4 diamond blade in an old circular saw. Old because the dust is terrible for tools. Countertop pros might be set up to wet cut which is probably better. I set up a 1x4 fence on the counter to guide the shoe of the saw and ensure a straight line. I used double sided tape, though I’d use hot glue if I had to do it again.

The newer Corian sinks are made differently. There is no box around the overflow. The overflow tube has a 90 degree bend and glues into the sink without a box. Even with the new design, mine let go. Since there is not big box, it may be an even more difficult repair. It appears to have used hot melt adhesive from the factory.

Apr 23, 2019 · Solid Surface - (Corian) Carbide tip blade skill saw. Router with a straight bit in order to clean up the edge. The only problem is that you would need to take the existing cut-off material and glue it back on the exposed edge. You would have to purchase Corian glue somewhere. Please note that Corian can be refinished to look new again.

Mar 28, 2015 · The seam is excellent. If people want no seam they need corian or staron both better products than quartz imho. The biggest issue here is how the product was sold. Some patterns seam very well ( but never invisible) also quartz chips very easily especially Caesar stone. Higher end quartz and pattern like pebble are very easy to repair.
