Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot (* 16. Juli 1796 in Paris; † 22. Februar 1875 ebenda) war ein bedeutender französischer Landschaftsmaler. Er ist einer der Hauptvertreter der Schule von Barbizon. Camille Corot stammte aus gutbürgerlichen Verhältnissen. Seine Mutter war eine erfolgreiche Modistin.
