Eir, in Norse Mythology, is a goddess or valkyrie known for her medical skills. Her existence is confirmed in the Poetic Edda, the Prose Edda, and skaldic poetry, including a runic inscription from Bergen, Norway circa 1300. It's debated if Eir was initially a healing goddess or a valkyrie.
