Payment Systems Division has brought to the Medi-Cal Eligibility Branch's (MEB) attention the need to include a date on the new MC 180.

Jun 25, 2007 · This All County Welfare Directors Letter (ACWDL) is to inform counties that Procedures Manual Section 14E has been revised and released. Also, the form MC 180 has been revised, and a new MC 180 log has been added.

Payment for services over one year prior to receiving your BIC, requires a Letter of Authorization (Form MC180) showing the initial payment information. You can obtain this form by bringing your award letter or a letter from the SSA to your county social services office.

Failure to approve a MC application due to legitimate errors made in the course of determining eligibility (i.e., the application is misplaced and eligibility was never determined, an applicant was denied but should have been approved and an appeal was not filed).

Oct 26, 2021 · These changes are part of an overall shift from the current manual LOA process, using the paper based forms MC180 (Eligibility Letter of Authorization) and MC180-2 (Medi-Cal/CMSP Share of Cost Record of Health Care Cost), to a more automated LOA process that no longer requires the use of these forms.
