Jan 2, 2017 · I made a homemade mace bell from a 48 inch piece of pre-threaded 1" steel pipe. The unloaded mace weighs 8.5 lbs and provides plenty of leverage for my warmup without any plates. The part that holds the plates is made from a 1.5" to 1" reducer, a 1.5" nipple (2.5" length) and a 1.5" end cap.

I've got fractional plates that I can add on and take off as needed. The leg is 700mm long and fits the plates and collar perfectly.
