The DRG took over two superheated steam engines and one non-superheated steam engine S9 (ESSEN 907), these were put into service as BR 14.0 with the numbers: 14 001 and 14 002 and the non-superheated locomotive got number 14 031. In 1926 all three locomotives were set aside.

In the beginning of the twenties, the locomotives had their service on the line Dresden-Bodenbach. The DRG took over all 15 locomotives and put them into service as BR 14.2 with the numbers: 14 201 up to 14 215, the locomotives were put out of service in 1926.

These were the two converted superheated steam locomotives with the designations 14 001 and 14 002, and another saturated steam locomotive with the designation 14 031. All three machines were based at the Hanover Central Station depot.
