Oct 20, 2007 · You need to be level 47 to get start the quest for the Magic carpet. (although you will need a very strong group to complete it at this level). You need to complete a series of 4 quests. Starting with the NPC El'Khazi purveyor of fine carpets, who is close to the Sinking Sands dock. The carpet does not really fly, just sort of floats.

Mounts are personal modes of travel. When you get a mount, it will automatically appear in the Mounts tab of your character sheet. In order to equip a mount, you must open the Character window (press C to open it) and drag the icon of the mount you want to use into the equip slot.

Sep 10, 2018 · Simply flagging all of the non-flying carpets et cetera as viable appearance alts should be a simple operation. That way, all of us who built our own "flying" mounts would be able to actually, y'know, use them for flying. (Or at least the appearance of same.)
