With Kimahri being the only way to access Blue Magic spells with his Ronso Rage overdrives, I was interested in levelling him up more in my next playthrough and having him as a frequent party member. Although, I've seen some forums where people don't particularly rate him out of all characters you have in your party.

In my older playthroughs I always sent Kimahri down Wakka or Aurons path after filling his small grid. He was always just okay up until the clam lands. After reading up a bit online, I skipped his grid, sent him down Rikkus path to learn steal and use early, then Yuna's to learn curaga, dispel, refelect and holy.

A lot of his stuff has piercing and he gets other good abilities, too, unlike Auron who really struggles to get good equipment for most of the early parts of the game. Oct 18, 2021 · I use kimahri as sort of a jack of all trades, sadly he does tend to get outclassed by all the other characters in their specific fields. I think the best way to utilise him in early game is to take him through rikkus area for an early thief, then by the time you get to the dessert and gagazet having two characters with steal is great.

Aug 2, 2023 · Certainly. Kimahri would have had extreme reverence for Auron, successful guardian of High Summoner Braska, but also resentment/misunderstanding towards Auron as he knew he was unsent. I think the internal conflict of Kimahri towards Auron resulted in stoic inaction. He wasn't going to talk about it to anyone.

Mar 3, 2020 · Kimahri is kind of in a weird position where he can clone any character's skillset in a game that relies heavily on skill specialization, so he tends to be redundant in several cases. I guess that's why I think it works if he goes through Tidus's grid, because it doesn't hurt to have another decent fighter in the party.
