Oct 23, 2021 · None of the sound options turn it off. Environment something, I forgor 💀. It's from mod, and I'm sure there's warning about it on the quest book. look closely on the early quests. The footstep isn't the bad thing, the worst part is crafting bench gave you jumpscare. I think it's dynamic surroundings.

Feb 22, 2025 · Most mods that add mobs, spells, weather, and other sounds or music are so goddamn loud. Every time after adding a new mod I need to use Dynamic Surroundings config to find every individual mod sound and lower the volume to 30-70%. I can't lower Minecraft's general sound settings, because it will make every other sound a lot more quiet.

It doesn't seem to be tied to a block or entity, but i might just be blind. I just want that annoying and pointless sound gone. I know how to remove sounds using resource packs (did it with the annoyingly loud title screen music already), and so I found where the click.ogg file was and made it quiet. That resource pack worked for vanilla.

Jan 7, 2014 · If a mod adds sounds to the game for machines or environment noise, it needs to be much much quieter than the normal sounds in minecraft, otherwise it just becomes a nuisance. Big plus if they throw in volume sliders for their sounds that are set low by default.
