Pretty much any V8 is ruled out for packaging and weight distribution reasons, so we have on the short list: 13BT rotary, 2.2 or 2.5 or 2.4 Mopar turbo motor converted to RWD, Ford Zetec, etc. Long shot is 3.0/3.3 Nissan but that one is sorta big, one of the criteria is that everything fitsunder the nose. No scoops etc.

Has anyone ever put a 6 cyl Jag engine into a GT6 Triumph?
Dec 16, 2014 · Putting a Jag six into a GT6 is just right. I would expect there's at least one running around England somewhere. I like the idea of the swap because it's something that would have been done when the GT6 was new. And there really is something about a straight six. It's not a restorod, it would be more period-appropriate and cool because of it.

Sep 16, 2012 · The V8 Spit was set up for drag racing, so it has a custom (beefy) ladder chassis that incorporates some of the original Spitfire attachment points. An '85 Mustang GT was the donor for the project, and the 7.5 Traction Lock differential was narrowed and used.

The second car is a 1972 and requires a little more attention. This car was intended to be a racer so it needs completion. It has a Detroit locker with 4.11 gears.

May 27, 2010 · That said, I've fixed a lot of my GT6's stock handling ills with a combination of sway bars, stiffer springs, lowering block in the rear, and lower offset wheels in the back (staggered from front). Now the car takes corners with the rear end feeling much more secure than it used to, even under heavy braking.

This one will be Aston Martin Caribbean Blue Metallic and should really be a stunning car as the bodywork is being done on a rotisserie. Pictures as soon as it is in epoxy primer.
