Geoff Hunt is one of Britain’s leading artists. He was elected to membership in the Royal Society of Marine Artists in 1989, and served as its President. His far-reaching international reputation is founded on studies of historic square-riggers, particularly those of the Napoleonic era.

From 1966 – 1970, Geoff Hunt studied graphic design at Kingston and Epsom Schools of Art. After two years in advertising, he became a freelance artist and designer. He was art editor of the Warship Journal from 1977 – 1979, and typographer/designer on many books on marine subjects.
