Mar 28, 2022 · If you want to shoot 40 in your 29 because you can’t get any 10mm, I’d only do it once you’ve vetted it (by that I mean 500 or so malfunction free rounds) in your individual gun. For what it’s worth, that’s a good idea for any carry pistol in any caliber which will see real world use.

Jun 2, 2014 · Yes you can indeed shoot .40 S&W loads which adds to the versatility. You can also add a 9mm conversion barrel for even greater versatility, and while you're at it, .357 SIG, and/or 9x25 Dillon which is a very potent, high velocity round. As for brass, I have found factory new 10mm to cost less than .40 S&W due to demand.
