GALLEX - Wikipedia
After brief interruption, the experiment was continued under a new name GNO (Gallium Neutrino Observatory) from May 1998 to April 2003. It was designed to detect solar neutrinos and prove theories related to the Sun's energy creation mechanism.
Soviet–American Gallium Experiment - Wikipedia
SAGE (Soviet–American Gallium Experiment, or sometimes Russian-American Gallium Experiment) is a collaborative experiment devised by several prominent physicists to measure the solar neutrino flux.
Complete results for five years of GNO solar neutrino observations
Jun 16, 2005 · Gallium experiments at LNGS have now provided a long time record of low energy solar neutrinos and determined the bulk production rate with an accuracy of ±5.5 SNU. This is based on 123 solar runs (“SR”), 65 from GALLEX and 58 from GNO.
GALLEX solar neutrino results and status of GNO
May 1, 1999 · We describe the results of the GALLEX solar neutrino experiment after completion of the project. In particular, we summarize the results for GALLEX IV (12 solar runs) and for our 71 As - spiking experiments. The integral GALLEX result for all 65 solar runs (GALLEX I–IV) is (78 ± …
After the completion of the gallium solar neutrino experiments at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (GALLEX, GNO), we shortly summarize the major achievements.
GNO - INSPIRE
The aim of GNO (Gallium Neutrino Observatory) is to monitor the low energy part of the solar neutrino flux with a gallium detector at LNGS (Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso), Italy. The experiment is the successor project of GALLEX, which continuously took data with 30 tons of gallium between 1991 and 1997 at LNGS.
Gallium solar neutrino experiments: results and perspectives
Jul 1, 1998 · GNO will assure the monitoring of the pp solar neutrino for the next generation experiments, which are exentially focused on the higher part of the solar neutrino energy spectrum. Finally, the GNO-100 will offer the possibility to study possible time variations of the signal with "high" statistics; a modulation effect of about 8% can be ...
Complete results for five years of GNO solar neutrino observations
Apr 19, 2005 · We report the complete GNO solar neutrino results for the measuring periods GNO III, GNO II, and GNO I. The result for GNO III (last 15 solar runs) is [54.3 + 9.9 - 9.3 (stat.)+- 2.3 (syst.)] SNU (1 sigma) or [54.3 + 10.2 - 9.6 (incl. syst.)] SNU (1 sigma) with errors combined.

GALLEX - INSPIRE
This is a radiochemical neutrino experiment. Uses 30 tons of gallium in the 8.2-molar gallium chloride solution. Installed in the South Wing of Hall A of the Gran Sasso Laboratory. Has an overhead shielding of about 3400 m of water equivalent.
