Sep 2, 2022 · The handling, shipping, and of course grading fees really add up. It’s not cheap and if you want to throw money around just buy more notes! PCGS is cheaper (and faster turnaround time). I wouldn’t bother with Legacy. They’re still not taken seriously, unless you just want your notes in any plastic.

Depending on the tier you need to use PCGS Banknote may be slightly cheaper. Also, when joining NGC/PMG or PCGS, join at the tier that offers grading vouchers/credits equal to the membership fee.

Sep 29, 2016 · While being satisfied with PMG grading in general, mainly due to an improvement in PMG administrative procedures as well as less PMG errors in attribution and grading, I think that competition is good for the hobby and the business.

Jul 8, 2018 · It’s been my experience that most notes cross equally from PCGS to PMG, or vise versa if in higher grades, but have found that PMG is a little stricter on mid-grade and lower grade notes. Three years back, I sent PMG four notes in CGA (new) holders, and every one of them came back with identical grades.

Feb 4, 2019 · Judging from the scan, I would say the 65E grade seems generous, due to the very narrow bottom margin. I've seen many 64's with similar or better centering. It must otherwise be a very nice note, but I can't see it ever getting into a 66 holder.
