Oct 5, 2005 · I've loved Goyard for many years. Barney's started carrying them about 3-4 years ago, but they are considerably more expensive at Barney's than in Paris! I was looking at their Briefcase-style bag (in Red of course), and even with the personalization (stripes & initials), VAT (which gets refunded) and Customs, it was still $800 USD less!

Jun 22, 2008 · Goyard craftsmanship is impeccable, comparable to Hermès in my opinion. The print will show wear overtime, it can fade and lose some of its dots, especially in areas were there is a lot of rubbing. I personally do not mind it too much, it adds character and gives the bag a historical look (like the old trunks).

Apr 18, 2017 · I bought my first Goyard last November in Japan, at the Goyard Isetan Tokyo store. You don’t need to make an appointment - I had contacted the Takashiymaya Goyard Tokyo store in advance, and they got back to me saying you could just come in. I visited the Isetan store twice, and bought the bag I wanted on the second visit.

Jun 2, 2009 · Perhaps Goyard is not so popular in Milan, or Italy in general? I noticed mostly LV and Prada bags, with a few Bals thrown in for good measure. Or could it be that leather is more prized, leading to less of Goyard's unique linen, cotton, and hemp mixture? Any and all opinions appreciated! Ah and by the way, I ADORED the city.
