Feb 15, 2007 · IPSC - the grip tape can only be applied to the "grip" of the gun (behind the rear of the trigger guard, below the slide, and above mag well. USPSA - I think it can be put anywhere on the receiver. I know for a fact that you can't put it on the slide unless you are going to cover the WHOLE slide with grip tape. Then it's allowed.

Mar 31, 2020 · The black diamond grip tape is the best I've found, it will stay put for several months even with heavy dry fire. If you want it pre-cut you can get them from Dawson Precision (3 for $15) or you can buy rolls of the black diamond skateboard tape and cut your own.

Dec 25, 2012 · Now turn the oven up to about 200 degree's and get a pan in their. Peel the back off your grip tape and lay it grip side down in the pan. In about 5 min it will roll up like a pencil. Prepair yourself to get burned a little cause this stuff is sticky and hot. Have someone hold your gun on the counter, and pull the grip tape out.

Jul 28, 2018 · My grip is fine and I have a pretty good understanding what constitutes a good grip. Since you have such a powerful grip tape destroying death grip you might not need to produce friction with texture applied over the entire grip or frame. If you do perhaps the carbide is your solution or go to town on that frame with a wood burner tip.

Oct 5, 2008 · My production guns wear grip tape --- the older one got a Tru-Grip before either the 04 or the 05 Nats, the newer one got Grip tape in early 2006, both are still going strong enough for me. I actually don't like the feel of freshly applied grip tape, because it makes it too hard to shift my Grip when I bobble a draw or reload.

May 17, 2016 · I've used skateboard grip tape on my Para since 2009. I finally took the tape off this year (it wasn't easy) as the original tape was camo and I wanted to change the color of the tape to black. The new tape works just fine, and I used more of it on my SP-01 and SA Range Officer. $10 for a full sheet.
