HMS Phoebe (F42) was a Type 12I or Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy. She was the 6th ship of the name in the Royal Navy. In 1967 she took part in the withdrawal from Aden. In 1969 she took part in a NATO Fleet Review. In 1970 she took part in a Beira Patrol. She took part in the Apollo 13 recovery. In 1971 she was sent to the West Indies.
