May 5, 2013 · After lots of research and in keeping with my Scottish ancestry, I lucked out and got a good deal on a new Hawk 982. I want to put a +2 mag tube extension on it. I searched the forums, and haven't found any recent info on this.

Jan 17, 2010 · The Hawk 982 has a mag plug that extends out of the tube. The plug has teeth on the end that engage detents in the mag cap to give a ratcheting effect when tightening the cap. How is this plug removed?

Mar 7, 2011 · For a mag extension, a +1 from Wilson or Vang Comp is the way to go. A +2 from any mfg will extend past the muzzle. For a sling mount, the Wilson can be ordered with a sling plate.
