Sep 3, 2021 · Interestingly enough, while HoMM1 arguably has the cutest graphic style in the series, reminiscent of one used in books for children, the story in HoMM is quite cynical, with no good or evil characters. Quite unlike HoMM2, HoMM3, and the original King's Bounty.

Apr 15, 2022 · Especially if HoMM1 looking versions of extra factions were done similar to how you guys added extra HoMM3 like factions to SW using HoMM2 art styles. HoMM1 versions of undead and wizard factions would be fascinating.

Apr 15, 2022 · The major one is the art style, which I really dislike. The main map has lost almost all the wonder of HoMM1-4, and the style in which the units are depicted seems heavily influenced by the one used by Blizzard. But at least it is a consistent style, and the game actually has many fans that like the way the game looks.

A few years ago, I noticed that practically all Heroes of Might & Magic (HOMM 1) fan sites had vanished off the face of the Internet except for a few. New players to the series could find practically no new user-created maps for the original classic game. This archive is intended to alleviate that gap.

Feb 24, 2020 · I like the Warlock theme, the art for their town, the art for their troops, the set of creatures, the music, in both HoMM 1 and 2. So, I just like to play them much more than any other race/castle. That's all.
