IFVI launched as an independent organization with the global leadership and rigorous due process to make impact accounting the foundation of a more just economy. The research conducted at IWA and the former IWA team now drive IFVI’s mission of building and scaling the practice of impact accounting.

At the core of IFVI’s mission and vision is a globally applicable and comprehensive impact accounting methodology for the public good that accounts for a company’s full contribution to society. In 2022, IFVI and the Value Balancing Alliance (VBA) established a partnership to develop this methodology as well as to advocate for adoption globally.
